RABBIT NETTING FENCING
RABBIT FENCING MESH
Rabbit Netting is a 31mm hexagonal galvanised wire netting that is used as a fence to keep rabbits out. We supply rabbit netting in various roll widths, wire thicknesses and level of galvanisation.
For professional fencing contractors our 18G (1.2mm diameter wire) is usually supplied galvanised after weaving providing the toughest and longest lasting rabbit proof fencing. We also supply our 19G (1mm diameter wire) rabbit netting for good quality, long lasting fencing in both galvanised after weaving and pre-galvanised. And for temporary fencing applications or where budgets are limited we stock a standard lightweight rabbit netting.
The standard height supplied is 1.05m rabbit netting and 1.2m rabbit netting. We also supply 60cm, 90cm and 1.8m wide rolls.
When installing rabbit netting, the usual practice is the bury at least a 6" (150mm) in the ground 50mm deep with the mesh bent at a right angle in the direction of the where the rabbits would be. (Soil and turf can be installed above). This creates a impenetrable horizontal barrier below the surface which will stop the rabbits burrowing underneath the rabbit fence. Rabbit netting should be fixed to timber posts using our galvanised staples and the netting should be installed with tensioned line wires at the top, bottom and middle of the fencing to keep the fencing taut and to avoid damage from people climbing over, animal damage and tree branch damage.

-
1050mm x 31mm x 1mm(19G) x 50m (Pre-Galv)
-
1050mm x 31mm x 1mm(19G) x 50m (Galv After Weave)
-
1200mm x 31mm x 1mm(19G) x 50m (Pre-Galv)
-
1200mm x 31mm x 1mm(19G) x 50m (Galv After Weave)
-
1800mm x 31mm x x 1mm(19G) 50m (Pre-Galv)

HOT-DIP GALVANISED AFTER
The longest lasting and best rust resistant galvanised treatment for 31mm hexagonal wire rabbit netting is where the netting is hot-dipped galvanised after the wires have been twisted to form the 31mm hexagonal wire mesh apertures. This galvanisation treatment encapsulates the twist / weave of the netting and provides a thicker galvanisation level = longer lasting.
PRE-GALVANISED WIRE
Pre-Galvanised wire netting is available in all wire thicknesses. The wire is galvanised before the netting is weaved / twisted to form the 31mm rabbit netting mesh apertures. Still a good quality galvanised treatment but second to the galvanised after hot-dip products. Our standard economic range is pre-galvanised but we also offer our 19G and 18G in pre-galvanised to suit all budgets.
